D-Link DGS-1210-52 52 Port Layer 2 Smart Managed
Switch
Gigabit 4 x Combo G/SFP Port
Powerful, yet Cost-Efficient:
PoE Support:
Five out of the nine models within the D-Link DGS-1210 series lineup offer Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) capabilities, making it easier to set up IP cameras, VoIP phones, wireless access points, and other devices that require power.
These models are the DGS-1210-10P, DGS-1210-10MP, DGS-1210-28P, DGS-1210-28MP, and DGS-1210-52MP.
Through the switch’s management interface, administrators can manage various PoE functions, such as remotely restarting cameras or access points, from any location on the network, including over the Internet.
Additionally, they feature time-based PoE functionality, enabling administrators to schedule when each port’s PoE power is activated and deactivated. All PoE-enabled models adhere to the IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at standards, with the PoE power budget differing for each model.
Automatic Configuration:
The DGS-1210 Series offers Auto Voice VLAN and Surveillance Mode functionalities. These features automatically distinguish and manage voice and video traffic differently from regular network traffic.
Auto Voice VLAN recognizes Voice over IP (VoIP) traffic and isolates it from the rest of the network, thereby enhancing security and enabling Quality of Service (QoS) implementation.
Surveillance Mode identifies ONVIF cameras compatible with it and assigns them to a surveillance VLAN.
This allows a single switch to handle voice, video, and data traffic, eliminating the need for separate hardware and reducing maintenance expenses.
Surveillance Mode provides its own web interface, facilitating easy access to surveillance features and streamlining the management of surveillance networks.
Extensive Management and Layer 2 Features:
The DGS-1210 Series is equipped with a comprehensive range of Layer 2 functionalities, boasting features like IGMP snooping, port mirroring, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), and Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP).
With the IEEE 802.3x Flow Control capability, servers can establish direct connections to the switch, ensuring swift and dependable data transfers.
Furthermore, the series offers advanced capabilities such as static routing, facilitating communication among different user groups situated in distinct VLAN segments within a network.
By enabling the switch to conduct inter-VLAN routing using multiple interfaces, network performance is enhanced, promoting faster and more efficient operations.
Additionally, by delegating internal routing tasks to the switches, the network router is exclusively dedicated to managing external traffic routing.
Comprehensive Security Features:
D-Link’s groundbreaking Safeguard Engine aids in shielding switches from both traffic flooding and virus assaults. Utilizing 802.11X port-based authentication permits external RADIUS servers to authenticate the network.
Furthermore, the Access Control List (ACL) function bolsters network security and safeguards the internal IT network.
