The entry-level Aruba 300 Series Wave 2 access point provides superior performance and a premium user experience in medium-density environments. These access points feature 3×3:3SS MU-MIMO, Aruba’s advanced ClientMatch radio system, and built-in Aruba beacons to cost-effectively create a completely wireless digital workplace.

These access points offer maximum concurrent data rates of 1300 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 400 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band, for a total peak data rate of 1.7 Gbps. This provides an always-on wireless network with the performance required for enterprise use. It is particularly suited for low-cost, medium-density applications in a variety of industrial applications.

The high-performance 802.11ac 300 Series supports multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO) and three spatial streams (3SS), allowing simultaneous data transfer to up to two devices. This maximizes data throughput and improves overall network efficiency.

The 300 Series also incorporates enhanced ClientMatch technology, which builds upon client steering technology with MU-MIMO client awareness. It can automatically identify mobile devices capable of MU-MIMO and direct them to the nearest MU-MIMO capable Aruba access point. This grouping of MU-MIMO capable devices allows for simultaneous transmission, increasing network capacity. These dynamic roaming policies, based on device types, help organizations achieve optimal WLAN performance in mixed device environments during technology transitions.

In addition, the Aruba AP-305 has a built-in Aruba Bluetooth beacon, making it easy to remotely manage a network of battery-powered Aruba beacons. It also offers advanced location services, indoor navigation, and proximity-based push notifications. This enables enterprises to leverage the mobility context to develop applications that improve the user experience and add value to wireless networks.

Select the operating mode:

Aruba 300 Series Access Points offer a variety of operating modes to meet your specific management and deployment needs.

Controller control mode. When managed by Aruba Mobility Controllers, Aruba 300 Series Access Points provide centralized configuration, data encryption, policy enforcement, network services, and distributed and centralized traffic forwarding.

Aruba instant mode. Aruba Instant mode allows one access point to independently propagate network settings to other instant access points on her WLAN. Setting up Instant WLAN is quick and easy. Turn on one instant access point, set it up wirelessly, and connect to other access points. The entire process typically takes about 5 minutes. If your WLAN requirements change, there is a built-in migration path that allows you to seamlessly migrate your 300 Series Instant Access Point to a WLAN managed by a mobility controller.

Aruba 300 Series Access Points offer flexible configuration options. It can be configured to perform partial air monitoring and tasks such as spectrum analysis and wireless intrusion prevention. You can also create VPN tunnels to connect remote sites to corporate resources and provide wireless network connectivity in situations where Ethernet connectivity is unavailable.
