Aruba AP-305 Access Point

The entry-level Aruba 300 Series Wave 2 access point provides superior performance and a premium user experience in medium-density environments. These access points feature 3×3:3SS MU-MIMO, Aruba’s advanced ClientMatch radio system, and built-in Aruba beacons to cost-effectively create a completely wireless digital workplace.

These access points offer maximum concurrent data rates of 1300 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 400 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band, for a total peak data rate of 1.7 Gbps. This provides an always-on wireless network with the performance required for enterprise use. It is particularly suited for low-cost, medium-density applications in a variety of industrial applications.

The high-performance 802.11ac 300 Series supports multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO) and three spatial streams (3SS), allowing simultaneous data transfer to up to two devices. This maximizes data throughput and improves overall network efficiency.

The 300 Series also incorporates enhanced ClientMatch technology, which builds upon client steering technology with MU-MIMO client awareness. It can automatically identify mobile devices capable of MU-MIMO and direct them to the nearest MU-MIMO capable Aruba access point. This grouping of MU-MIMO capable devices allows for simultaneous transmission, increasing network capacity. These dynamic roaming policies, based on device types, help organizations achieve optimal WLAN performance in mixed device environments during technology transitions.

In addition, the Aruba AP-305 has a built-in Aruba Bluetooth beacon, making it easy to remotely manage a network of battery-powered Aruba beacons. It also offers advanced location services, indoor navigation, and proximity-based push notifications. This enables enterprises to leverage the mobility context to develop applications that improve the user experience and add value to wireless networks.

Select the operating mode:

Aruba 300 Series Access Points offer a variety of operating modes to meet your specific management and deployment needs.

Controller control mode. When managed by Aruba Mobility Controllers, Aruba 300 Series Access Points provide centralized configuration, data encryption, policy enforcement, network services, and distributed and centralized traffic forwarding.

Aruba instant mode. Aruba Instant mode allows one access point to independently propagate network settings to other instant access points on her WLAN. Setting up Instant WLAN is quick and easy. Turn on one instant access point, set it up wirelessly, and connect to other access points. The entire process typically takes about 5 minutes. If your WLAN requirements change, there is a built-in migration path that allows you to seamlessly migrate your 300 Series Instant Access Point to a WLAN managed by a mobility controller.

Remote Access Point (RAP) for branch deployments. This mode is ideal for branch office deployments and allows the access point to operate effectively in remote locations.

Aerial Monitor (AM): Access points can act as aerial monitors for wireless intrusion detection, rogue device detection, and containment.

spectrum analyzer. Aruba APs can be configured as dedicated or hybrid spectrum analyzers to help identify sources of RF interference in wireless environments.

Secure corporate network. These access points support secure mesh networks and provide enhanced coverage and redundancy.

For large multi-site deployments, Aruba Activate simplifies the deployment process by automating tasks such as hardware provisioning, firmware updates, and inventory management. With Aruba Activate, instant access points are preconfigured at the factory and self-configured when activated in the field.

Dual-radio 802.11ac access point with MIMO multi-user capabilities.

Provides data rates of up to 1300 Mbps in the 5 GHz band when used with three spatial streams (3SS) and VHT80 clients, and up to 400 Mbps with two spatial streams (2SS) and VHT40 in the 2.4 GHz band To do. client..

Built-in Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) radio.

This enables location-based services using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)-enabled mobile devices that can receive signals from multiple Aruba beacons simultaneously.

Battery-powered Aruba Beacons are easy to operate and deploy.

Improved Cell Coexistence (ACC)

Mitigate interference from 3G/4G cellular networks, distributed antenna systems, and commercial small cell/femtocell equipment to provide high quality service for unified communications applications.

Provides application visibility and control with a focus on quality of service.

Provides priority treatment and enforces policies designed specifically for unified communications applications such as Microsoft Skype for Business, including encrypted video conferencing, audio calling, chat, and desktop sharing.

RF management

Adaptive Radio Management (ARM) technology automatically handles tasks such as channel assignment and power configuration to ensure fair airtime allocation and protect access points (APs) from sources of radio frequency interference. The result is a reliable, high-performance wireless local area network (WLAN).

Aruba 300 Series Access Points offer flexible configuration options. It can be configured to perform partial air monitoring and tasks such as spectrum analysis and wireless intrusion prevention. You can also create VPN tunnels to connect remote sites to corporate resources and provide wireless network connectivity in situations where Ethernet connectivity is unavailable.

Intelligent application visibility and control

AppRF technology uses deep packet inspection to classify, block, prioritize, or limit bandwidth for more than 2,500 enterprise applications or application groups.

Detect and mitigate threats with integrated wireless intrusion protection, eliminating the need for standalone RF sensors or security devices.

IP Reputation and Security Services exist to identify, classify, and block malicious files, URLs, and IP addresses, providing comprehensive protection against advanced online threats.

Additionally, it integrates a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) for securely storing credentials and encryption keys.

Intelligent Power Monitoring (IPM)

Access points (APs) have the ability to continuously monitor and report power consumption in real time. Additionally, you can decide on your own to disable certain features if you wish.

Specifically, for 300 series access points, the IPM (Intelligent Power Monitoring) feature is activated when the access point is powered by an 802.3af PoE source. By default, when the access point’s power consumption exceeds the available power budget, the USB interface is first disabled. In exceptional circumstances, additional power-saving measures may be required, but in most cases the 300 Series AP will continue to operate without restriction.
