24 port 10/100 +2 SFP ports +2 Combo Gigabit SFP ports L2 Managed Switch

D-Link DES-3200-28 28 port 10/100 with 2 SFP ports +2 Combo Gigabit SFP ports L2 Managed Switch is a member of D-Link’s Layer 2 managed switch family designed for the ETTX, FTTX, and enterprise markets.

The DES-3200-28 offers 24 Fast Ethernet ports with 10/100Mbps speeds, along with 2 or 4 combo Gigabit/SFP ports.

The D-Link DES-3200-28 is 1U 19” rack mount size and provide 24 copper or fiber connections on Fast Ethernet,

Besides the beneficial design of 2/4 Gigabit/SFP Combo ports which provide up to 4Gbps uplink bandwidth or dual Ethernet ring topology support.

The DES-3200-28 is IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at Power over Ethernet (PoE) compliant switches

and also it provide 15.4W per port and up to 30W in the first four/eight ports.

The PoE+ powers devices such as video IP phones, wireless access points, and IP cameras directly through Ethernet cables,

whereas makes the deployment of the network much easier.

All switches in the DES-3200 series come with built-in 2 or 4 Gigabit SFP uplinks,

while it provides flexible network topology choices such as ring, tree, or mixed.

Security and Availability:

The DES-3200-28 switch supports 802.1X/MAC port-based access control, guest VLAN, RADIUS authentication, and TACAS+ for strict access control across the network.

The IP-MAC port binding feature allows administrators to associate source IP addresses with MAC addresses associated with specific port numbers to improve user access control.

Additionally, with DHCP snooping, the switch automatically recognizes the IP/MAC pair by snooping her DHCP packets and storing them in her IMPB whitelist.

These features play an important role in ensuring network security and auditability.

The built-in D-Link Safeguard Engine protects switch operation by identifying and prioritizing processor-intensive packets

that is prevent malicious traffic from disrupting normal network flow.

Additionally, access control list (ACL) functionality improves network security and switch performance.

Increased flexibility/productivity:

 the D-Link DES-3200-28 supports Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) 802.1D-2004, 802.1w, and 802.1s.

STP also allows you to configure switches with redundant bridge paths to ensure that packets can be sent and received even if one of the switches in the network fails.

The switch also supports 802.3ad link aggregation allows you to group multiple ports into a single port in parallel to increase throughput and redundancy to improve availability.

In terms of quality of service (QoS), the switch supports 802.1p this standard

That is allows traffic to be classified into eight priorities and assigned to four queues in real time.

Packet classification is based on TOS, DSCP, MAC address, IP address, VLAN ID, TCP/UDP port number, protocol type, and user-defined packet content,

Traffic and bandwidth control:

The Bandwidth Control feature allows network administrators to control bandwidth by specifying bandwidth levels for each port.

It also provides detailed information for defining inbound/outbound traffic limits up to 62.5 Kbps segments.

The D-Link switch also supports broadcast storm control, which reduces the possibility of virus attacks within the network.

Port mirroring makes it easy for administrators to diagnose traffic, monitor switch performance, and make changes as needed.

Multicast application:

The DES-3200 switches supports IGMP snooping technology to reduce multicast traffic and improve network performance.

MLD snooping reduces the number of IPv6 multicast packets at the port level, saving network bandwidth.

Control options:

The D-Link managed switch supports common management protocols such as:

SNMP, RMON, Telnet, SSH/SSL security authentication, and DHCP 82 relay options.

and also supports a user-friendly interface and web GUI for easy management.

DHCP autoconfiguration is an advanced management feature that allows an administrator to preconfigure settings and save them to her TFTP server.

Individual switches can then obtain an IP address from the server to start and load predefined configurations.

The Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP) enables network devices to broadcast their identity and capabilities to other devices on the local network,

whereas giving enterprises better control over their networking topology.

Each switch port also supports cable diagnostics to help detect cable-related issues such as cable length condition and cable functionality.

D-Link Single IP Management (SIM) simplifies management tasks by allowing you to configure, monitor, and maintain multiple adapters through one unique IP address from any workstation running a web browser.
